ABOUT MOSU

How we’re different

Our love of great food and travel ultimately left us feeling disappointed by most of the Asian BBQ and Hot Pot available here in the States. We don’t think you should have to choose between affordability, quality, and convenience.

MOSU offers premium-quality ingredients, seasonal offerings, and top-of-the-line equipment for a reasonable price. You don’t have to go to an expensive, fine-dining steakhouse to enjoy quality filet mignon, lamb chops, or other premium cuts. And you don’t have to sacrifice quality or endure a smoke-filled restaurant to have a fun night out with the whole family.

FAQ

Have a question? We have an answer!

A BBQ grill inside? Doesn’t it stink?

Some Asian BBQ places do get pretty smokey. But not MOSU.

We know how offputting it can be to leave a restaurant smelling like you just spent an hour next to the fryer. The Yakiniku grills we chose are imported from Japan with premium exhaust systems to keep the smoke to a minimum.

Air is continuously sucked out before it even leaves the edge of the grill, and is replaced by fresh, filtered outdoor air – and our engineers say it happens 10x more than most commercial exhaust systems.

Enjoy the aroma of grilled meat, seafood, and vegetables, and leave without smelling like your dinner.

We want to try it all. Can we order BBQ and Hot Pot together?

Our BBQ tables and hot pot tables are not interchangeable and therefore can’t be combined. On purpose!

These experiences feature different flavors, ingredients, and methods, and we think each deserves its own spotlight anyway.

Don’t worry, though. The unique flavor profiles, ingredient options, and cooking processes are pretty involved, so we don’t think you’ll get too bored with just one or the other. Plus there’s always next time!

Do I need to know how to cook?

We make it easy to enjoy your experience. That’s why we say it’s less like cooking, and more like playing with your food: No cooking expertise needed. Everything you order will arrive prepped and ready for the grill or hot pot.

And to keep it fool-proof, there are step-by-step instructions and cooking times for each item, right on your tablet. Rare, medium, or well-done: there are no wrong answers here.

Do I need to make a reservation?

It can get a ‘lil crazy in the kitchen! Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends and evenings. We do allow for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.

Does MOSU have a self-serve sauce or food station?

MOSU is a full-service restaurant.

No need to stand in a buffet line or flag down someone for a refill. You can order everything—including sauces, toppings, and drinks—right from your tablet.

Take a seat, relax, and let us handle your order.

Self-serve stations can lead to cross-contamination and the spread of germs to other guests. They are also difficult for people with allergies to use safely and with peace of mind. Our tablet system allows guests to order exactly what they need, the moment they’d like it, while keeping things clean and safe.

Is MOSU allergy-friendly?

Yes, we’re able to accommodate many allergies and dietary restrictions. Please note this in your reservation or call us to confirm that we can meet your specific needs.

Can some of my party members choose the All-You-Care-To-Eat pricing while others choose the A-La-Carte pricing?

To keep things running smoothly, everyone in a party must choose the same dining option.

All guests who are seated with a party that chooses the All-You-Care-to-Eat pricing will be charged the same price regardless of the quantity of food they consume.

How can I tell when the hot pot broth is ready to cook my items in?

When the broth comes to a soft boil it is ready for cooking. Most items will change color when cooked, and we’ve included the cooking times for each menu item right on your tablet for reference. And remember: don’t overload the broth!

Is it safe to cook different raw proteins like beef, pork, chicken, and/or seafood on the same grill?

As long as the items are cooked properly following our suggested cooking times, yes, it is safe to mix proteins. We also recommend using your tongs to place raw items on the grill, and your utensils to retrieve the cooked foods.

Is MOSU open on Holidays?

MOSU closes in observance of Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Can I have my meeting or event at MOSU?

Yes! We would love to host your meeting or event. Please send us an email at info@eatmosu.com or give us a call at (518) 949-2450.

Our specialty is great service.
